Georgina Kincaid's job sucks. Literally.

Love hurts, and no one knows it better than Georgina Kincaid. If she so much as kisses Seth Mortensen, the shy, sexy, incredibly gifted Seattle writer she's been dating, she'll drain his life force. Georgina is a succubus-a demon who draws her power from other men's pleasure. Admittedly, the shapeshifting and immortality perks are terrific, and yes, Georgina did choose to join the ranks of hell centuries ago. But it seems completely unfair that a she-demon whose purpose is seduction can't get hot and heavy with the one mortal who knows and accepts her for who she is.
It's not just her personal life that's in chaos. Doug, Georgina's co-worker at a local bookstore, has been exhibiting bizarre behavior, and Georgina suspects that something far more demonic than double espressos is at work. She could use help finding out, but Bastien, an irresistibly charming incubus and her best immortal friend, is preoccupied with corrupting an ultra-conservative talk radio star-and giving Georgina some highly distracting come-hither vibes. Georgina is going to have to work solo on this one-and fast because soon, Doug's life won't be the only one on the line.
Taschima's POV:

The thing about these books is that you never expect to have such a good time. I picked up the first book because I wanted more books by Richelle (big fan of Vampire Academy) and I liked the first one very much, but after I put it down I quickly picked up another book. There was no thinking about it long after it ended, running to the library to get the second. So these are the kind of books you really enjoy while reading, but they do not join your top favorites. Well, I picked up the second books months after I read the first one, and I had forgotten just how much fun I could have while swimming in the flames of Georgina's world.

Georgina in this installment is still going out with Seth (though not sleeping with him because that could have dire consequences), working at her job, going out with her friends and sleeping with good guys so she can steal years from their lives and give points to the bad side of the force. Normal Succubus stuff. But then things start happening. An old friend comes back to her life and her co worker is acting pretty strange (maybe diabolically strange?). The things Georgina will have to overcome in this novel will give you the thrill of a lifetime.

So yeah, this is the second book in the series. It had some good and bad things. Good things is that is still as enjoyable as ever! The characters are great, the scenes are steamy (not for kids) and some new mythology is introduced. It's a very entertaining book all in all.

The bad thing is the plot created no urgency, the way the "bad" guy was taken care off so easily was laughable, and the plotlines in the book felt unrelated. It's like you have this thing happening over here, some other things happening over there, and oh my god did I not mention this plot line hidden right under the covers? This may certainly discourage some people with going through the novel. But not me (obviously). I mean, the way these stories are written it's not about the ultimate end between the war of good and evil, it's about the ultimate end of Georgina's soul. So we go through her life, we step into her shoes, we wear her skin. As you read the novel you feel very connected to the main character and well, you might even overlook the annoying small flaws (I did).

The introduction of the old friend is very refreshing. It gives you a taste of what Georgina's past life was like at times, plus this new character is so hot (bonus points). Seth is well Seth. The eternal doormat as it is. But, I mean, he has this quality to him, this quiet nerdy quality that you just have to love. There's a big obstacle in Seth and Georgina's relationship that wasn't there before in this book, an obstacle for which Georgina is responsible for and which I am not really happy with her for doing it, and you just have to see how it ends up.

Will be buying the third book very soon!

I wish I had five pairs of eyes, so all of them could read at the same time. The Infinite is another I have queued up in my Kindle, as well as The Dicken's Mirror ( White Space was such a weird, yet interesting, read; a story within a story within a story...). I have let the series The Agency go, last book ...

Which Fictional Hottie-from-a-book Team do you Support?

Have I told you guys how totally in love I am with  I'm Loving Books.com ? The admin, Sarah, creates the best mini banners out there (I have some under my Favorite Series column). She also came up with Team Stickers for a lot of different series, including The Iron Fey, Morganville Vampires, The Vampire Diaries, The Hunger Games, etc. I don't know about you, but I personally  love them ! Talking about taking sides is easy, but are you ready to commit and get a Team Sticker to prove your loyalty? I know I am! Delirium So Alex stole my heart in Delirium, and I am not about to let him go and forget about him just because yummy Julian decided to make an appearance. I will admit Julian's scenes with Lena in  Pandemonium  were hot, but my heart belongs to Alex. The Hunger Games In the books I usually go for the dark and handsome type, but Peeta is just something else. He can really steal your heart (and then maybe disguise it into some sort of pastry and make you eat it). ...
